Obituary Angelique Lynn Crivea, age 42, died unexpectedly on March 10, 2022, in Pickford, Michigan. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on November 1, 1979, to parents Roger Lynn Melson and Pamala Sue (Good) Powell. Angelique grew up in Oxford, Michigan, Pontiac, Michigan, and Brooksville, Florida. She graduated from Hernando High School in Brooksville and moved to Waterford, Michigan, where she started her family. Angelique began working at General Motors before attending Dorsey College. She earned her certificate in Medical Coding and began working at St. Joe's for many years after she completed her degree. In 2020, Angelique and her children moved to Pickford where they have become part of the community. Angelique attended the New Hope Church in Kinross, Michigan, and was a proud member of the breast cancer awareness group, Alyssa's Angels. She would often make and deliver homemade meals to the elderly in her community. Angelique was a sentimental and caring woman. She liked to meet people and touched the lives of many. "To know her, was to know love". She enjoyed going to the beach, collecting rocks and shells, boating, spending time in the water, camping with her sisters, barbequing, watching butterflies and sunsets, cooking, listening to music, and dancing - and she knew how to shake that booty. Above all, she loved her children and spending time with them and her family. She was a truly wonderful woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Angelique is survived by her children, Shyanne "River" Mae Crivea of Waterford, Michigan; Curtis Crivea, Ethan Crivea, and Tristian Crivea of Pickford, and Ian Crivea Jr. of Pontiac, Michigan; mother, Pamala Sue (Good) Powell; step-father, Richard Lin Powell of Bay Port, Michigan; brother, Chad (Kayla) Powell of Kincheloe, Michigan; step-sisters, Racheal Cuningham of Florida and Andrea Bruske of Clarkston, Michigan; half-brothers, Glen Melson of Tennessee and Roger Melson of Tennessee; best friends, Dana Covert, Angela Neef, and Natalie Parker-Kuerbitz; and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins; and husband, Ian A. Crivea. Angelique is preceded in death by her father, Roger Melson, and all her grandparents. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at Galer Funeral Homes & Cremation in Pickford, Michigan, with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 P.M.
