Annabelle (Ke) Malone Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Life is not forever, love is. She is a light that never dims. Annabelle Kuulei Ke Malone, "mom," stepped from our earthly home into her Heavenly home today, June 16, 2019, in Sault Sainte Marie Michigan with her family by her side. Mom was 83years-old and born in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 22, 1936 to the late George Ke and Isabelle Ornellas. She was the youngest of three children and grew up on the island of Oahu. Over the years she has shared many memories of her life in Hawaii including the bombing of Pearl Harbor when she was just 5-years-old. She met and married the love of her life, John Malone, while he was stationed in Hawaii with the Navy. They were married for 51 years until his passing in 2006. They were blessed with 7 children, 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. They moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962, raised their family and created many memories for all of us. She was a mom first and foremost and her greatest achievements were her children whom she treasured and she embraced every moment with them. She traveled anywhere and everywhere with her family. She had a feisty personality and made the people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere and hugged everyone. She lived the way she wanted and made her own decisions. She loved her "fast food friends," sugar, Diet Coke and she'd tell anyone to just "Go for It." And, oh, the stories she shared and the jokes she would tell and the tattoo that she wanted. She had so much energy that it would tire a person out just watching her. Mom loved music and many times you could find her playing the piano and singing. She was also able to play the accordion and ukulele. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Ke, sister Thelma (Hussey), her husband John J. Malone, son Michael Dean Malone and grandchildren, Mia Ann Anderson, Dana Malone, John Jeffrey Malone and Christa (Damaso) Malone Puente. Mom is survived by her daughters Marla (Norman) Jahn of Sault Ste Marie and Melissa Malone; sons, John Malone, Dan (Diane) Malone, Mark (Melody) Malone and Lance (Rosemary) Malone and many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. When you think of mom know that she would want you to hug and spend time with your children, eat at In & Out Burger, help whoever you can and to always remember that while her song may have ended her melody will linger with us always. A very special thank you to our family, friends, Hospice of the EUP Lisa Corbiere and Father Sebastian of St. Mary's Church for your calls, your visits and your love. She cherished each of you! Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday June 26, 2019 at St. Mary's ProCathedral Church with Father Sebastian Kavumkal as Celebrant.
