David Ernest Windsor Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

David Ernest Windsor “Goose” was born August 2, 1949, in Sault Ste Marie, MI, and died June 23, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Dave lived a rich and full life. He grew up in Hessel, graduated from Cedarville High, and went to Detroit to work for Chrysler. He was drafted into the United States Army infantry to serve in the Vietnam War. Back in Detroit again, Dave joined the Penetrators Motorcycle Club. PFFP. Where he was a dedicated member for 55 years. His love for Harleys and his club family was deep. He Later headed North and worked for Marvin Chard at Maples Sawmill. Later, working for Flotation Dock, he gained the necessary experience, putting in crib docks and other water-related jobs. Going out on his own, he started “Les Cheneaux Dock and Dredge.” This career combined with his love for the water and meeting people gave him the opportunity to live a life he loved. Dave was a charming man. With an unforgettable smile and a twinkle in his eye. All who knew him loved him. “No Problem”, “I got your back” and “turn the page” were his trademark responses. Dave will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Dave is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Lee and Jasmine Windsor-Blunt. His grandchildren, Savannah, Stefahn, Shay, Kadin, Gage, Seth; and his great-grandsons Kent and Jack. Two brothers, Donald (Lynn) Windsor & Robert (Loretta)Windsor; and two sisters, Laura (Fred) Campbell and Kate (Jack)Otstot. Nieces, Amanda and Kara and Nephew, Jesse. Special friends, Craig, Jeff, and River. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Verna Windsor, and daughter Chanda Port. A Memorial Gathering for Dave will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at Galer Funeral Homes, 24549 S. M-129 Pickford, MI. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 PM. A small luncheon will be held for immediate family. With a plan for a gathering next summer. Galer Funeral Homes & Cremation in Pickford, Michigan, is serving the family.
