Marilyn "Pat" Louise Sherlund Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marilyn “Pat” Louise (Foote) Sherlund, age 88, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Autumn Woods Care Facility in Warren, Michigan. She was born October 19, 1932, in North Reading, Massachusetts, to Bertram H. and Mabel (Pendergrace) Foote. Pat grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire where she graduated from Central High School in 1950. After high school, she worked at a textile mill until she met Ivan Sherlund who was on leave from the United States Navy. They were married on October 22, 1951, in Manchester. When Ivan completed his service in the Navy, they moved to Cedarville, Michigan where they raised their family. Pat was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Madison Heights, Michigan. Pat loved baking, quilting, and crocheting. Pat is survived by her sons, John (Kathy) Sherlund of Cedarville, Michigan, David (Karen) Sherlund of Royal Oak, Michigan, and Daniel (Mary) Sherlund of Kinross, Michigan; daughters, Nancy (David) Waters of East Leroy, Michigan and Lisa (John) Hill of Muncie, Indiana; son-in-law, Daniel Haver of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brother, Donald Foote of Bradford, New Hampshire; sister, Nancy (Ed) Roller of Shelton, Washington; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan C. Sherlund; daughter, Joanne Haver; brothers, Bertram Jr. “Bing” Foote, Wesley “Sonny” Foote, John Foote, and Edward Foote; and sister, Gladys Foote. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon followed by the funeral service at 12:00 Noon at Galer Funeral Homes, 24549 S.
