Patricia Mae Chambers

Patricia “Patty” Mae (Smith) Chambers, a lifelong resident of Hessel, Michigan, died peacefully at the Hospice House of the EUP on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born on May 27, 1959, in St. Ignace, Michigan, to parents Frederick “Fred” and Frances (Causley) Smith. Patty was a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Patty grew up and lived in Hessel most of her life. She enjoyed many activities like needle point, reading, arts and crafts, and especially playing on her computer where she had mastered many games and helped her connect with people she adored. Patty is survived by her sisters, Maggie Rounds, Nancy Smith, and Betty (Ken) Smith; her brother, Fred Smith; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Patty is preceded in death by her spouse, Mike Chambers; parents, Fred and Frances Smith; siblings, Mary (Bill) Albert, Frances (Tony) Hamel, Beverly Lafrenier and Becky Smith. There will be no funeral services per Patty’s request. Donations, in her name, can be made out to the Hospice House of the EUP in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan.
