Sharon Ann Sorenson

June 8, 1959 - September 24, 2020

Sharon Ann Sorenson, age 61, of St. Ignace, MI, died on September 21, 2020. She was born on June 8, 1959 in St. Ignace, to Sterling Arnold Sorenson and Eudene Paquin Sorenson along with her twin, Karen. Sharon lived in Sault Ste. Marie for many years cooking at many local restaurants in-cluding Abners and the Soo Country Club. When she moved back to St. Ignace sever-al years ago, she cooked at the Northern Lights restaurant and the Horseshoe Bay Restaurant. Sharon liked to be helpful and spend time with her family. Sharon loved to cook and was very good at it. She liked to cook meals for her family quite often. She liked to collect sports cards and jewelry. She enjoyed Rock & Roll and especially loved The Beatles. Sharon loved and cared for her mother for the last couple of years as her health was failing until such time as she needed assisted living. She loved her cats and dogs and all pets. Sharon was a member of the St. Ignatius Catholic Church and a member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Sharon had a heart of gold and would do anything she could to help anyone. She loved her many nieces and nephews like they were her own. She always hugged everyone and told them how much she loved them. Sharon is survived by her mother Eudene McDowell; and her siblings James Sorenson, Karen Steiner, Dennis Sorenson, and Lisa Gamble all of St. Ignace; and her best friend, her dog Bob. Sharon is preceded in death by her father Sterling in 1990 and her brother Stephen Sorenson in 2001. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
