Suzette Ann Nichols Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Suzette A. Nichols, 75, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday July 27, 2022 at My Michigan Health Medical Center. She was born October 19, 1946 in Munising, MI to Mervin and Blanch (Schooley) Bowerman. Suzette graduated from Whitefish Township School in Paradise, MI. She loved and found it rewarding to become a CNA as her main profession, later she became employed at Bay Mills Casino where she loved and cherished bonds made with people she became friends with there. Suzette loved Lake Superior and the treasures that came with it such as agate collecting and finding driftwood. Suzette loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her eyes would light up in love and excitement through each and every visit. Suzette touched so many lives with her kindness and love. Suzette is survived by her four children, Danette (Joe) York of Kinross, MI, James (Jodie) Menominee of Manistique, MI, Thomas (Jen) Nichols of Lake City, MI, and Lisa (Anthony) Burrill of La Grange, KY; grandchildren, Chris York, Tim York, Melissa York, Rachel York, Jessica York, Amber Menominee, Amanda Menominee, Ashley Menominee, Adyson Nichols, Ellie Nichols, Lila Nichols, Lillian Burrill, Trevor Burrill, Brian Burrill, and many great grandchildren. Suzette is preceded in death by her son, Wade Menominee; brother, Jon Bowerman; first husband, James Menominee and second husband Henry Nichols, Sr.; parents, Mervin and Blanch (Schooley) Bowerman. A celebration of life for Suzette will be Sunday July 31, 2022 at 5:00pm at Point Iroquois Lighthouse in Bay Mills, MI. Clark Hovie Galer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
