William Carl Richwine Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William Carl Richwine, age 71, a lifelong resident of Drummond Island, Michigan, died on Friday, November 5, 2021, at his home. He was born June 20, 1950, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Carl Augustus and Ida Myrtle “Myrt” (Irish) Richwine. Bill graduated from DeTour High School. He worked at Marshall’s Mobile in the late 1960’s and then joined the Chippewa County Road Commission in April of 1970. He retired from the Road Commission in September of 2002 due to complications of diabetes. He enjoyed working outdoors, cutting wood, helping neighbors, and spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carol Beebe Richwine; children, Celia L. Bias (James), Benjamin W. Richwine (Rachel), and Kevin D. Lee (Katie); grandchildren, William “Alex” Richwine, Parker Richwine, Ella Bias, Leah Richwine, Jackson Bias, Payge Bias, Allison Lee, and Connor Lee; sister, Barbara Kurkierewicz; and brother, Leslie Richwine (Karen). Bill was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Myrt; father-in-law, Ralph T. Beebe; and brother-in-law, Marvin Kurkierewicz. No public services will be held per his request. A private family gathering will be held. Final resting place will be Drummond Island Cemetery.
